Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, address, phone number, email address, and account information related to debts placed with us for collection.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to contact you regarding your account, process payments, comply with legal obligations, and provide our collection services to our clients. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. See “Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising” below for the one narrow case in which we share marketing-site browsing activity with advertising platforms.
SMS Communications
If you opt in to receive text messages, your phone number is used solely to send account-related communications. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Policy for details.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
On our public marketing pages— our home page and our pricing, features, contact, book-a-demo, healthcare, commission, learn, future, get-started, brand and build pages, and these legal pages — we use cookies and similar technologies from Google (Analytics and Ads), LinkedIn, and Meta. We may also use Google Tag Manager, a container that delivers such technologies. These measure how the site performs and let us show our ads on those platforms. Doing so involves sharing your browsing activity on those pages with those companies, which California law treats as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising even though we receive no payment for it.
None of these technologies run on the consumer portal, the client portal, or any signed-in part of ClaraPay. Nothing about your account, your balance, your payments, or the fact that you have a debt with us is shared with an advertising platform.
If you are in the UK, EU, Switzerland, or Brazil, none of this happens until you agree — our legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it. Elsewhere these technologies run when you arrive and you may switch them off at any time. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically.
Use the Your Privacy Choices or Cookie preferences link in the footer to change your choices at any time. When you make a choice we keep a record of it — the categories you chose, the time, the version of this policy, the country grouping your request came from, your browser’s user-agent string, and, where a hashing secret is configured, a one-way hash of your IP address — so we can check that the banner is working and that choices are being applied. That record contains no name, email address, account, or IP address in readable form, and because you are not signed in when you make the choice, it is not linked to you personally. What actually enforces your choice is the preference stored in your own browser.
Full detail, including the specific cookies involved and how long they last, is in our Cookie Policy; California-specific rights are covered on our California Privacy Rights page.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
