Settlement offers — how they work in the portal

Sometimes an offer to resolve your account for a reduced amount is available. When one is, it appears on the Settlement offers page in your portal.

What you will see

Each offer shows:

  • The settlement amount — what you would pay to resolve the account under the offer.
  • An expiration date, with a count of days remaining. Offers are time-limited; an expired offer disappears from the page.

Accepting an offer

1. Choose Accept on the offer and confirm.
2. Depending on the offer, the next step is one of:
- Sign an agreement electronically. You will get a secure signing link — on screen and by email — that puts the terms in writing before anything else happens.
- Make the settlement payment. You are taken to the payment step for the settlement amount.
3. Once the steps for your offer are complete, the settlement is reflected on your account.

Declining an offer

You can decline an offer from the same page. Declining removes it from your portal. Declining one offer does not affect your other options — you can still pay in full, set up a payment plan, or message us.

Things to keep in mind

  • An offer is optional. Nothing changes on your account unless you accept.
  • Read the agreement before signing — it states exactly what is being settled and on what terms.
  • If you have questions about what an offer means for you, message us through the portal, or consider speaking with a financial or legal advisor of your choice. We can explain the mechanics of the offer, but we cannot give you legal or financial advice.
