Messaging your ClaraPay team
The messages inbox at /client/messages is how you and ClaraPay communicate inside the portal.
How threads work
Each conversation is a thread scoped to your organization as a whole — threads are not tied to a specific account number, so reference account numbers in the message text when a question concerns one debt.
- The thread list shows your conversations, most recent first, with an unread badge on any thread with new activity.
- Selecting a thread opens the conversation, with every message timestamped. Opening a thread marks its new messages read for your whole team.
- Messages are plain text. File attachments are not supported in threads — if you need to share a file, ask your account team in the thread and they will arrange the transfer.
- Owners and admins can start threads and reply; analysts and viewers can read everything.
Why use it instead of email
- Every message is timestamped and kept with the conversation, so nothing gets lost the way long email chains do.
- The whole account team can see the thread — you are never blocked on one person's inbox.
- For clients handling sensitive data, especially healthcare, keeping the conversation inside the portal is a compliance positive, not just a convenience.
What to message us about
Anything: a status that looks off, a recall you want to expedite, a remittance question, a dispute that needs context. If the portal is not behaving as you expect, the inbox is also the fastest path to help — your account team sees it immediately and responds in the thread.
For urgent production issues, call your account team; contact details are on your signed service agreement in the documents library.
