E-signing your agreements
Your collection services agreement — and, where applicable, related documents such as a BAA — can be signed electronically as part of onboarding. No printer, scanner, or third-party account is required.
Signing during onboarding
The Agreement step of the onboarding checklist at /client/onboarding offers two paths:
- Sign electronically — a signature request is created and emailed to you; open the email and sign through the secure signing link. The portal shows "E-signature request sent — check your email to sign."
- We'll sign offline — for organizations that prefer wet-ink or internal legal routing. We email a copy for you to execute and return, and your onboarding lead records it once countersigned.
What happens after you sign
1. ClaraPay countersigns the executed agreement.
2. The fully executed copy becomes downloadable from /client/settings under the Agreements section.
3. Your onboarding moves forward toward activation.
Common questions
- Who should sign? A signatory authorized to bind your organization — typically the owner or an officer. The signature request can go to the right person; it does not have to be your portal login.
- Can I get a copy before signing? Yes — ask your onboarding lead and they will send the current draft for review.
- Where do I find the signed copy later? In /client/settings, Agreements — with a "Request amendment" action beside it.
